In this post we are going to give you a Jedi Shadow leveling build for the new 1.3 patch.
As of 1.3, we have added two options for leveling your Shadow: Kinetic Combat or Balance. Kinetic Combat benefits those who prefer a “slow but steady” leveling path with high survivability and medium damage output, as well as being able to tank flashpoints or heroic quests. Balance favors players who prefer a faster leveling speed while sacrificing a bit of survivability. Both are equally viable choices for leveling.
This build is the faster balance build:
Jedi Shadow Balance Leveling Build 1.3:
Recommended Companion: Qyzen Fess
Stat Priority: Willpower > Critical Rating (until 30%) = Surge Rating (until 75%) > Power/Force Power
Technique: Force Technique
Since some of your core skills come at a slightly later level than other classes, your rotation until 19 will look like:
Shadow Strike > Project > Mind Crush > Force Breach > Double Strike
Add in Saber Strikes as needed when low on force.
At level 20, you’ll receive Force in Balance, and your priority system will be:
Force in Balance > Shadow Strike > Project > Mind Crush > Force Breach > Double Strike
Force in Balance should be used every time it comes off of cooldown, even against single targets.
At 40, you’ll receive Sever Force, and your priority system will update to:
Force in Balance > Shadow Strike > Project* > Mind Crush > Sever Force > Force Breach > Double Strike
*At this point, you only need to use Project to keep Twin Disciplines up, not for its base damage.
